Grand Rapids, MI (February 18, 2016) — eVideon (www.evideon.com) announces it has installed its Patient Experience Platform in the VA Ann Arbor’s award-winning Healthcare System.

“The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System has been recognized numerous times for its distinctive focus on patient-centered care,” said Jeff Ingle, founder and president of eVideon. “They are dedicated to exploring new and better ways to serve patients, and we are proud to support them through their initiatives.”

Serving as a referral center for specialty care, the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System operates 109 acute care beds and 40 Community Living Center (extended care) beds. More than 872,000 outpatient visits are made at its facilities annually and there were nearly 6,300 inpatient episodes of care provided in the hospital and extended care center.

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is using eVideon throughout its facility to provide Veterans with a personalized experience that engages, educates and entertains them during their stay. Veterans have access to customized health education, television programming, movies on demand and hospital information on their in-room television or touch screen display.

eVideon’s platform enables the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System to provide personalized health education based on the Veteran's diagnosis, medications, treatment and procedures. The platform is customized to fit within the VA’s clinical workflows, allowing nurses to assign patient education content within VistA/CPRS. The videos are delivered directly to the Veteran's television and is automatically documented back into the Veteran's electronic medical record.

"We worked closely with the nursing team to ensure the platform was easy to use. It provides a personalized experience for each individual Veteran, while streamlining the assignment, delivery and documentation of educational content for clinical staff," said Ingle.

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is a recipient of the Planetree Silver Merit Award for Significant Advancement in Patient-Centered Care. The award demonstrates how focused the staff at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is on patient-centered care. To support this initiative, the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System selected eVideon to deliver entertainment, patient education and a variety of interactive applications that enable patients to become more actively engaged in their care. eVideon is just one of the many patient-centered programs that VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System has implemented to provide the highest quality care for Veterans.
